Early Access Addendum

Draft, pending legal review. This document has not been finalized or legally approved and may change before Blake launches.

Last updated [DATE] · Version 2026-10-30.2

Applies only during Early Access, before Blake's launch.

This addendum is part of the Blake Terms of Service while Blake is in Early Access. Where it conflicts with the Terms of Service, this addendum controls until it ends (Section 6).

1. What Early Access is

  • Early Access lets creators set up their Blake store and account before Blake launches.
  • Your account and everything you create are real and are kept.
    • Your account, store, products, pages and settings carry over to the launch.
    • Blake does not reset or delete them because Early Access ends.
  • Blake is still being finished. Features may change, be added, or behave differently before launch, and some may be temporarily unavailable.

2. What you can use, and the one thing that is off

You can use and test Blake's available creator features on Blake Scale. This includes:

  • storefronts, products and customization;
  • funnels, upsells, order bumps, and checkout settings;
  • email marketing, sequences and automations;
  • free downloads, opt-in forms and lead capture;
  • affiliate program setup and commission settings;
  • Blakely and Blake Studio;
  • memberships, bookings, integrations, and the other completed Scale features.

No real payments: payments run in Stripe test mode. During Early Access, Blake does not collect or move real money.

  • Who can test: you can test sales, affiliate sales, commissions, refunds, and Cash Out using Stripe's test mode. Test purchases are limited to your store's team and your approved affiliates.
  • Public visitors can't buy. They see that purchases open soon.
  • No real money moves. Test cards are never charged real money, and test-mode Cash Out and affiliate transfers move no real money.
  • Test records stay separate. Test orders and test payment accounts are marked as test and are kept apart from real activity after launch.
  • You will connect a real payment account for launch. It needs Stripe's real identity and bank verification; Stripe test accounts can't be converted. When real payments are switched on, your test payment account is retired and your Sales page asks you to set up payments again, this time with a real Stripe account. Your store, products, prices, customers and order history are not affected, and your store stays live. Until you connect, buyers can't check out and nothing is charged. Your affiliates connect a real payout account the same way. Test orders stay in your history marked as test and don't count in your sales totals, and test commissions are never paid out.
  • Plans: paid Blake plans cannot be bought during Early Access. You have complimentary Blake Scale (Section 4).
  • Before launch: Blake will tell you before real payments are switched on.

Real people, real rules. Some features reach real people: free downloads, opt-in forms, and marketing email. Everything in the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy about consent and email applies in full. That includes sending marketing email only to people who opted in, your postal address in every email, and honouring unsubscribes.

  • During Early Access, Blake asks search engines not to index Blake stores.
  • Anyone you share a link with can still see your store.

4. Complimentary Blake Scale

  • Stores created during Early Access receive Blake Scale free of charge until [DATE set by Blake and shown in your account].
  • No payment details are needed, and you are never charged automatically.
  • When the complimentary period ends, your account moves to the free Blake Launch plan automatically. Nothing you built is deleted, and you are never charged unless you choose a paid plan and check out.
  • On Blake Launch, your storefront stays live and your free downloads stay up.
  • Features that need a paid plan pause until you choose one:
    • paid products are hidden from your store, and your buyers keep their access;
    • funnels and discount codes stop working;
    • a custom domain stops pointing to your store;
    • marketing email stops: broadcasts, sequences and automations are not sent while you are on Blake Launch, and emails that would have gone out during that time are not sent later. A broadcast you had scheduled for that time goes back to your drafts so you can reschedule it. Your contacts, sequences and automations are kept.
  • When you choose a paid plan, these features work again with what you set up. Sequences continue from where each subscriber had reached; people who joined while you were on Blake Launch are not added to them.
  • Blake may end or change the complimentary period for accounts that misuse it.

5. Feedback

  • If you send Blake feedback or suggestions, Blake may use them to improve Blake without owing you anything.
  • Your store content stays yours under the Terms of Service.

6. Launch and re-acceptance

  • When Blake launches, Early Access ends.
  • Blake will ask you to review and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in effect at launch before you continue using Blake. Those documents may differ from the versions you accepted for Early Access.
  • If you do not accept them, you may close your account. Blake will delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
